This month, we handed the mic to two of our top experts, Mike Shirchenko, President and Product & Technical Director of DiCAN, and Steve Boss, our Product & Technical Manager. Together, they tackled real questions from real customers during our latest webinar.

If you missed it, here’s a quick rundown of what was covered, and why it matters.

Webinar Questions

What is Plow Pilot?

It's a family of products that provides an in cab solution that helps operators monitor, report, and stay connected to AVL (automatic vehicle location) devices in real time. It keeps everything visible, and nothing guesswork.

Do you have to take Plow Pilot off at the end of the season?

Nope. Since Plow Pilot is an in cab solution, it stays put, no uninstalling required.

What is Good to Go?

It’s our box-up warning system. Using tamper-proof magnetic switches, it gives drivers both visual and audio alerts if the dump box is raised.

Where is Good to Go typically mounted? Is it hard to install?

The install is straightforward. The magnetic (non-contact) switch assembly offers some flexibility in placement, it just needs a gap between the magnet and the switch. We make it simple.

What is Guardian?

Guardian helps fleets get ahead of dangerous winter conditions. It uses road/air temperature, humidity, and dew point data to predict risks like black ice, freezing rain, sleet, and more. It’s a powerful addition to any risk management playbook.

Can our own technicians get certified?

While no official certification is required for DiCAN products, we provide detailed installation guides and full phone support at 1-866-884-7569. If you’re using Geotab, there are certification courses available online, especially helpful for public works teams.

Bottom line?

These aren’t just products, they’re practical answers to real-world problems. If you’ve got questions, we’re here for them. Keep ’em coming.
