SFT806 Motor Tachometer
The SenDEC MotorTACH performs Tachometer,
Hour meter, and Flash
Alert™ functions on ANY rotating
shaft, rotating gear, or pulley. The MotorTACH
can be used on Diesel engines, Compressors,
Heating motors, Process equipment, Power
equipment, Generators, or a host of other
equipment. While the equipment is running,
the RPM will be displayed on the LCD.
When the equipment shuts off, accumulated
hours will be displayed.

Installation
Simply epoxy the rare earth magnet to
any motor shaft (the tiny rare earth magnet
is only 1/8" diameter and is feather
weight). Use an epoxy that bonds to metal.
Mount the RPM sensor to a bracket so the
nose of the sensor is within 1/4"
from the magnet face. Connect the 2 sensor
wires to the 2 meter wires and you are
done! Polarity of the wires does not matter.
Note 1:
This product is tested at the SenDEC factory
during and after manufacturing. Therefore,
there may be up to one tenth of an hour
(0.1) accu accumulated on the meter because
of testing.
Note 2: Handling
of the meter wires during hookup may cause
the meter to run temporarily (show RPM).
This is because of static and wil will
stop after the wires are hooked up, or
are no longer handled.
